On Sunday, 23rd October Friends of Freshford will be holding our next seed and bulb planting day on the Tyning.
We’ll be meeting at the War Memorial at 10am, and the day will end when the seeds have been sown and the bulbs planted.
As an organisation, we are acutely aware of the sharp decline in bees and the loss of biodiversity both of which are contributing to the climate and ecological emergency. The seeds and bulbs to be planted will include native daffodils and yellow rattle, and this will supplement the sowing and planting undertaken over the past two years, further increasing biodiversity on the Tyning.
Do come along and help us give a springtime gift to the bees!
Please bring a trowel or bulb planter if you have one.
